Legal & data handling
The data-handling commitment is the practice's thesis applied to its own operations. It is not boilerplate; it is part of why a regulated firm would work with this practice rather than another.
When working with this practice, your firm's documents, names, and matter details may pass through review. The following commitments apply to all engagements:
This is part of how the practice works, not an upsell.
This page sets out how `borck.consulting` collects, uses, and stores personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information you provide via the contact form (name, firm, email, the message you send), email correspondence with the practice, and any material shared in the course of an engagement. Booking via Cal.com collects the information you provide to that service, subject to Cal.com's own privacy terms.
Information is used to respond to your inquiry, to deliver engaged services, and to maintain the records required for tax, GST, and professional indemnity compliance. Information is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties except where required by law or where you have given written consent.
Inquiry and correspondence material is retained while it remains relevant, and otherwise deleted within twelve months. Engagement material is retained for 90 days after engagement close, then deleted, except where you have requested otherwise or where retention is required for compliance (e.g. tax records under the relevant statutory periods).
You may request access to information held about you, or correction of any information that is inaccurate. Requests should be sent to michael@borck.consulting.
If you have a complaint about how your information has been handled, please contact the practice in the first instance. Complaints can also be made to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
The terms below summarise the practice's standard engagement structure. The binding terms for any specific engagement are set out in the Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work signed between the parties.
